Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

Today God humbled me by reminding me that HE is in control. When we let minds slip and rely on our own confidence is when sin can creep in. Well, most of today I spent walking on staging and up/down the sawhorse I used as the ladder and climbing all over the 8′ walls. I gained confidence in my abilities to walk on walls, and this allowed me to rely on myself. In doing so I lost sight of safety and fell off the staging onto the sawhorse.Fortunately I was not injured to badly, just a scrape and burse. My ‘pride’ and ‘ego’ were more hurt than me physical. I thought that I was in control and God quickly helped me realize that HE is. I can only pray that I can lean to stop, and take time out to remember that God is in control.

Despite my mishap, the day was again very successful. Though there were many little things to clean/catch up on we made great progress. All the walls are DONE both inside and out. All the sheeting is done, the most of the vapor barrier is installed, and the most impressive accomplishment is we have our 2 gable walls done and will be ready to install the roof trusses tomorrow.
